What We Hold, What Holds Us
I use local clay I have dug up from the woods surrounding my studio.
During a recent show I invited guests to take a raw vessel, enjoy it, use it, and when ready return it to the earth.
I replace each vessel with a photograph of the vessel held by the “taker”.
160 Vessels, 3 x 4” each, made of raw local clay.
Photos replace vessels as they are taken. showing the taker holding the vessel.

NATIVE VESSELS
This is a small bowl from the 18th century, possibly of Acoma Pueblo or Zuni Pueblo origin. It was recently gifted to me. I love its simplicity, smallness and inherent history. It is the inspiration for these vessels.
These vessels are press-mold formed from found clay or Plaster of Paris.
All proceeds from this sale are donated to the
Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women.
